Step into a full day designed for dancers who want to explore the depth and intensity of dark fusion, within a container of inclusive community.
Daewen's Day of Dark Fusion Dance brings together focused technique training, a choreography intensive that builds expression and power, and an evening hafla where the work comes to life. Each part of the day is structured to help you move with more control, more intention, and a stronger sense of your own style.
You will train, create, and connect with other dancers who are drawn to dark fusion’s layered, expressive edge. Come ready to refine your movement, expand your range, and leave with something that stays with you.
Refine your movement with intention, detail, and a little attitude. Explore the layered movement patterns, texture, expression, and musicality that makes dark fusion special, and learn to use it to strengthen your own style.
We'll work through drills, combinations, and experimental exercises to sharpen your control, enhance your storytelling, and more.
You'll leave with cleaner technique, fresh ideas, and a stronger sense of shaping your movement inside the music.

Based in the St. Louis area, Daewen has forged her own signature “Stygian Style” — a powerful blend of heavy music, raw emotion, strength, mythology, horror, fantasy, and magic. Through her performances, she channels beauty from the darkness and inspires dancers around the world to embrace their most authentic, expressive selves.
Since 2020, Daewen has built a thriving international dance community, producing online festivals, leading workshops, and offering a comprehensive Stygian Certification Program for dancers of all levels. She has studied extensively in the fusion style with many top-tier instructors, with the most inspiring being Ariellah, Silvia Salamanca, Michelle Sorensen, Belladonna, and her dance bestie Ami Amoré! With a background in psychology, coaching, and rune divination, she combines technical expertise, magical flair, emotional depth, and a passion for personal growth to support dancers both on and off the stage. Known as “Mama Stygian,” Daewen balances her dark, powerful performances with warmth, humor, and a deep commitment to community.
