Join Savannah Morningstar in this entry level class on Ballet Technique basics! Learn new techniques that will be valuable tools for your dance practice. This class is a blend of core training, yoga, and ballet technique for fusion dancers of all skill levels.

This class is being held live via Zoom and will also be recorded for those unable to attend live!

Students will need a chair or counter about arm height (that you can rest your hand on easily without being too low or high).

Weekly Agenda:
May 16: We will learn the basic Five Positions and plie/releve, and how to incorporate them into different dance training.

May 23: We will learn a few simple ballet steps and discuss how to choreograph them into different styles of dance, focusing on pirouettes (turns) and arabesques. We will discuss body lines and extensions. Class will begin with the warm up (Five Position plies) we learned in the first class.

May 30: We will build on the first two classes, starting with the warm up we learned first class (Five Position plies) and a quick practice of arabesque + pirouette. We will learn two short dance phrases that blend ballet and belly dance technique.

*We will send out materials prior to class so everyone has a visual aid for feet positions.
